G'day guys. How's it going?
Arrived in Perth in WA and it was a culture shock to say the least!
First day sorted self out after the trip from Jo'berg and KO for about 14 hours!
Since then been busy, walking around the city, which is not that big to be honest. Been to the W.A.C.A for you Dad, Kings Park which the back drop of the city, nice. Met a couple Helen & Gavin and joined them to wave rock about a 750k round trip, nice.(photo)Took the trip to Rottnest island with Tracy a Welsh girl i met in my room at the hostel (photo), sat on a beach on my own and snorkeled, nice. Was going Kayaking but cancelled as windy. Been on a few night's out with Tracey to a 50's bar, which i liked and few other places, nice.
And that just it, Perth is 'NICE' it's clean, safe, good weather, well organised, good transport, easy to walk round, little nightlife, well Policed, can get anything you want with ease.................but that's the problem!! I can't find the soul of the city, you know the grit the vibe the way the heart beat of a city sets the tone. There is non and even the people i have met who live in Perth say the same, its too ............PERFECT! like the Truman Show almost.
Yes and i miss Africa as it is everything Perth isn't. Its dusty, dirty, unorganized and oozes culture where as Australia merely tries at it!
Anyway ill let you know how things develop.

Hi Karen
Perth looks fab but as you say it's not Africa! We're keeping in touch with Nelson and Moses! It's all good! We miss the heat, sunshine, dust, rain spiders, matola rides but most of all the people!Have fun and keep safe! Lots of love Chris XXX
