Not quite NZ with out...........................sheep farm's!

HI there and yes I'm still here travelling away and loving every minute of it, even if i have had a few lonely moments over the past week or so. For you people who know me really, really well you know this can be bad for my mental state, you know what i mean!

Well anyway arrived Christchurch NZ (South Island) had a few crazy, fun filled backpacker type night as you do to make new friends. It is however a really nice city, small, friendly and local of nice architecture etc. Really enjoyed the few days i had there and then headed to my first Wwoofing place out on the Banks Pen, beautiful area. There were 6 of us Wwoofer's and a great way to start the experience off as we all got on well and Phil, a really great Irish guy i met in Christchurch also came along with me. We had a ball and didn't stop laughing for the 5 days we were there. This was topped off by a visit to the local pub in Little River with the girls in best frocks we had and the boy in Skirts and bandannas!! May not sound like a big deal but we are talking country here folks, deep country with people who are sheep farm's for generation and have not see a women cleavage since the late 1980's, so imaging the looks as we all walked in!! Priceless..........................and for everything Else.................................!!! yes anyway!
Moved then sound with Natasha from the Banks Pen through Timaru and Omaru and was picked up there by next Wwoofer host Maurice. This is where i spent a week on a n Organic farm helping out as much as i could . Its bloody hard work this farming lark you know especially organic so it really is worth buy it for that little extra. The meat from there goes to Tesco of all places. Learnt a lot, drove a tractor (big red one!), separated sheep for ewe's, lambs, slaughter, put up an eclectic fence, fix a lawn mower and mowed all the lawn on a sit on, fixed the irrigation system, moved cattle, cooked, weeded, turn out taties and had lot of time to myself and few lonely hour but bounced back from that, however that is how travelling goes my friends!

Now in Dunedin and it a nice small city with a big uni. Met two girls in my hostel Sarah and Hannah who have today asked me if i wont to travel with them and share the car heir etc, which is exactly what i was looking for and we win all ways! I'm sure the adventure will pick up now.
Been out on the Peninsula from Dunedin , gorgeous and walked up the steepest street in thew world, going out for a red wine tonight as deserve it after all that work on the farm.

Hope your are all well back home and i really do miss you all at the moment. You realise how fantastic mate are when you travel, look forward to having a wine with you when home.
