Windy Wellington

Well you know what? Wellington ain't half bad!
Take a look at the top picture to appreciate the view from the Botanical Gardens in the city, which was one of the funniest days i have had as was with my partner in crime and not stop giggle friend Karl, who's and land owner don't you know!!
Bring back the Gladiators!! Rabbit, Speed skater, Quiche, Gorper, Majesta and the Ferret (private joke for the Dunedin clan!)

Spent about a week there and saw the city Museum, water front, free concert, art festival was on so lot to entertain, saw Parliament, which was well Parliament,(2nd photo)watched the Wellington Hurricanes, (3rd photo super 14 rugby match) and left the city with a good feeling that i could have spent more time there. Also leaving a few 'good egg's' which i travelled with for a month or so. (4th Photo, Speed skater and Rabbit) If you have been following my story then you will know who they are.
So i get the cheapest bus i can find called the Naked bus and travel about 2 hours to Palmerston North, which is the first place Rugby was introduced to NZ and also the largest land locked city in NZ! SO off i went to the National Rugby museum as you can see in the last photo, was maybe not what you would expect from a country that has a whole TV channel dedicated to the game! A humble building and in 2 small rooms, next to the stadium, packed with all sorts of thing and bringing the memories of 2003 back to me. I was in Sydney for those who didn't know! Yes one of the best feeling in the world! Also got up at 530AM the other morning to watch the 6 nations matches, Ireland and then the England game, funny as it had been a lock-in at the Welsh pub in town so many tired but jolly soles left in there. Good laugh and a sense of achievement getting up and beating the French!
Anyone at hope who is not on facebook, i woke the other morning to a strange feeling and i got small flash of homesickness for the first time, which to be honest took me by surprise. However i have put this down to NZ being like the UK and reminding me of the world i left behind. Mainly my mates who i enjoy coffee with or chatter or someone who understands with out explanation! Anyway I'm over that now but messages from home help, so if you get chance please do. Well moving on again tomorrow to Napier.
Big hug
Karen
