Hey there guy's, sorry no pictures as can not find my USB cable so got to wait till i get to a big city to buy a new one as my connection is not standard, typical!
Any way in Taupo at the mo and been through the Art Deco town of Napier, which had a Tom Jones concert on while i was there in the Vineyards! Can you ever really get away? I Really liked Napier and it has a real sense of community and pride as a city.
I did a 8 hour Tramp aka hike yesterday so having an easy day right now. It is supposed to be one of the best day walks in the world, taking you up Devil stair case, across a crater of a volcano, see the emerald lakes, then through barren hill mountain side to finish up with lush green ferns and the feel of a rain forest. It was an achievement as even the nice couple from Holland who Tramp all over the place said it was hard and gave me some Tramping tips. Now on a nice day with little wind and sun shining, or a nice snow capped winters day i can see why i t would be one on the best walks in the world. However with a Easterly wind blowing a gale and burning hand due to the chill factor and low cloud which only cleared for a few brief spells, it wasn't the most enjoyable thing i have ever done. Maybe the irony of Bob Dylan's Hurricane being the last song i heard before getting to bed that night was something to do with it?! Having said all this, being a plodder and not really used to this kind of thing, i am happy i did it and feel i pushed myself in NZ.
Anyway ill explain more when i have pictures.
Hope you are all well?
